Whirlwinds, Ramblings, & A Giveaway

Whirlwinds, Ramblings, & A Giveaway

I had a great weekend! The weather was absolutely perfect. I got the lawn cut and all the weeds pulled, and I didn’t harumph! once while doing any of it. My son had a friend over, and I was able to be a bystander to the energy that whizzed throughout my household from them. I swear, sometimes there were only streaks of white light, wind, and laughing that I thought was them but couldn’t be sure. They made it until 11:30PM, even though they were put to bed at 9:30-10, and lo and behold! they were up and at it again at 5AM the next morning. I wish I had half that energy!

In the midst of all the whirlwinds bustling around me, I was able to finish the book I was reading, Gone Girl, by Gillian Flynn. Have you read it? I’m still deciding whether I liked it or not. I mean, I know I was completely hooked into it, but that ending left me … um … yeah … just left me.

So, this week it’s off to the races of the day job, chasing for the kid, my third Tae Kwon Do lesson (did I tell you I’m learning to kick some ass? Research …), and then, yes, I will be getting my writing groove going. I don’t care if I’m up all night, I’m going to write every damn day/night to get the energy going again on this novel. And I’m writing this post to make it official, because if it’s in the blog, it’s law. See! My imagination is already going! No stoppin me now! Onward Lexie! Onward Draeger! Together we can conquer the wor—! Okay, baby steps. Together we can get Divine Warrior written by the end of this year!

In the meantime, did you know I’m having a Facebook giveaway of sorts? I will host a comment giveaway of both Guardian Of Fate & Seeker Of Fate (ebooks) when I hit 500 likes. Can you help me get there? Spread the word. Here’s the link: https://www.facebook.com/LJKentowski/posts/656497117709694

What about you guys? How was your weekend? What’s your week looking like? Any goals?

Have a great week all!

Sounds like a fun, productive weekend. Mine was decent too. Hubby and I finished stripping the wallpaper from my den for the renovations we’re doing, I settled on a title for the novella I’m working on, wrote two blog posts and added 2500 words to the novella.I would have liked to have added more but that’s on the list for this week, along with a few more blog posts. And, of course…..the day job!

Sounds like you enjoyed your weekend. I’m glad! Hubby and I spent most of the weekend relaxing until we had to bathe the dogs. Youngest dog apparently licked too much doggie shampoo while being washed and wound up with an upset stomach. She spent half the night puking up all over the house….which meant we were running around behind her cleaning it up. I’m so tired. Today, however, I got to be a part of a Clit Party blog hop followed by a Twitter party with giveaways. 🙂 Talking sex always makes me happy.

I read a review from another blogger pal for Gone Girl. She thought it was a great read, hard to like the characters, but overall really engrossing.

Pretty much same here. I was engrossed all the way through! These are the kin of characters that are hard to like, just by their nature, but I loved the way they were written.

Wow, sounds like a whirlwind. I haven’t read Gone Girl yet. I loved Sharp Objects by her though. 🙂 It was a disturbing story but so well written.

Sounds similar to Gone Girl. You don’t want to like it because it is disturbing, but the writing really lures you in. Thanks so much for stopping by!
